Marilue Cowl

This was my first ever design.  I named it after my mother.  She was diagnosed with ALS and fought bravely for 3 years.  I wanted to memorialize her and create something she would have loved to wear.

Beginner Friendly

This design uses beginner level knit and crochet techniques.  So while you will need to know both sets of skills, it is suitable for beginners in either craft.  A perfect design for someone that can either knit or crochet and wants to learn the other craft.

Adaptive Design

Beautiful scallop edging on this cowl allows for ease of use getting the piece on and off.  Simply hook a finger into one of the loops and pull on or off!  Perfect for people with limited mobility or dexterity.

Marilue Cowl Pattern

Pattern Construction:  The body of the Marilue Cowl is knitted in the round.  Scalloped edging is crocheted on the top and bottom of the body.

Adjusting Size:

To adjust height – knit more or less rounds before adding scallop edging.

To adjust circumference – Increase or decrease the number of CO sts – only inc or dec by multiples of 6 to maintain st counts for scallop edging.
