Skills Center – How to Knit and Crochet

Well hey there knitters and crocheters.

I see you.

Welcome to your How to Knit and Crochet Skills Center. You may be here b/c you’re a newbie to knit or crochet. Or it may be have learned earlier in life and need a refresher.

Shout out to all the grandmothers who spent so much time teaching us just so we could forget and have to re-teach ourselves – sorry grandma

My very first pattern used both Knit and Crochet skills. While there are a lot of makers that know both, there are huge number of us that only know one or the other. I grew up knitting but NEVER crocheted until a few short years ago. So I figured out pretty quickly that I needed to jump on the tutorial train.

And yeah, I’m super late to the YouTube party, but I brought something different. I prefer video tutorials to written instructions when it comes to something like learning brand new skills. Unlike most of the tutorial videos you’ll find, mine are meant to walk you through the basics of the craft, increasing complexity so that by end of the video set you’ll have a finished piece! Yep, that’s right! You’ll learn all the skills you need to make a final small square that can be used to create a lot of finished products. The videos will also set you up to start making pieces from written patterns, including my own!

So find your skill and click through to keep learning!
