Note: this listing is not for a finished piece

The Queen City Cowl is an intermediate crochet pattern that utilizes a double layer construction technique to create a structured cowl that stands on its own!

You’ll need 2 colors of sport weight yarn to create this piece.  Check out Queen City Yarns Latta yarn for an amazing set of colors to chose from!  Latta is a non-super wash yarn with a bounce that is perfect for this pattern.

Description

The Queen City Cowl is designed in collaboration with Queen City Yarn in Charlotte NC and their brand new yarn, Latta. Latta is a sport weight, non-super wash yarn. It has amazing bounce and wait until you see the gorgeous color palette!

The Queen City Cowl is constructed using 2 layers that are connected with a slip stitch edging. The outer lace is worked in Crowns Stitch and the inner layer is worked in HDC in the round.

The cowl is written for one size, but instructions are included in the pattern for making your cowl larger or smaller. You can easily adjust the size of your finished piece to make different silhouettes.

The 2 layer constructions gives the cowl a structure that is perfect for showing off your beautiful lace work. This is not a slouchy cowl, but meant to stand tall. Keep that in mind when customizing your fit.

One of my favorite parts of this cowl is the almost endless number of color combinations! You can select any kind of color combo you want. Go bright and bold for maximum contrast! Or chose a tone-on-tone color combo for a subtle take on the pattern.

I can’t wait to see what colors you will pick!
